Default Bluetooth Survives Toilet Excursion!!!

Please Login to Remove!

I just thought the community might like to know my Motorola Bluetooth HS810 headset just survived a dip in our toilet. I know what some may be thinking, but the toilet was flushed and had been recently cleaned and I just got the damn thing so I was OBLIGATED to go hand-diving for it. I disenfected the outside with Q-tips and let it dry out, it is now working like a champ!

Glad to know that my headset will stand the "taking the Browns to the Superbowl" test!

Ha Ha!! My original 7510 took a dunk.

I was potty training my daughter and my BB was in my shirt pocket (I know, I know - I was asking for it), my daughter slipped and I dove to catch her, the BB slipped from my pocket and in the drink it went. - A fishin' I did go. Now, my daughter did not get a chance to go potty yet, so it was clean, but soaked.

I pulled the battery out, took to back off, and used a cloth and compressed air to dry it as much as I could. I let it sit for several days and put the battery back in the BB, crossed my fingers and - *presto* - it worked like a charm.

Once again, I must say - excellent build quality on these devices.

You're all a lot more tolerant than I am. Or maybe I'm just a germaphobe.
If my headset came anywhere near a toilet... let alone IN IT... there's no way I would ever put that thing in my ear again. I don't care how clean you say your toilet is. It's a ****ing toilet!

Cut your losses, throw the thing away, and buy a new headset.
