Default I can't find my music I uploaded in my BB Pearl

Please Login to Remove!

Hello guys,

I am new to this forum and was wondering if someone can help me. I have been having this issue since I got my BBP a couple of months ago. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I uploaded the music to my BBP using the desktop manager. I went through all the steps such as (options > media card > mass..... on > prompt etc.

I was able to upload all my songs into the [media card] via Roxy. When I disconnect the phone on from the computer, I can't find the music I upload in the phone anywhere.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Edrod

Wirelessly posted (8310; RammerJammer!)

Media > music.
If not there, lookk at Media > Menu > Explore.
Remember, any purchased iTunes will not be accessible until you remove the DRM from the files.

Thank you for the response. I tried those and no luck. The files are were mp3's but I converted them while transferring them.

Have you done a battery pull? Sometime with 4.3 and lower it doesn't scan the Media Card for changes very often.

Did you try a battery pull? With the device powered on, remove the battery for 30 seconds. That causes the BlackBerry to rescan the media card and the songs should be visible then in the media player.

When the BB is connected to your PC, can you view the contents of the media card?

When you got to Options > Media Card, what settings do you have?

Also.... are the songs from iTunes? How did you convert them? If you converted them with Roxio, that may not remove the DRM. One way to remove the DRM protection is to burn the songs to a cd, then rip them again to your PC. Then they will play on any mp3 player.

Yeah I can see that contents of the media card

As far as Options > Media Card settings?

media card support > On
Encryption mode: security password
Encrypt Media Files: Yes
Mass SMS: On
When Connected:Prompt

The songs are not from I tunes. I have gotten most of them from my desktop or a CD.

I did convert them through Roxy, the first out of the 3 options it gave me.

For now disabled the Encryption on your media card I ran into issues with encrypting Media Files. Then do a battery again.

Also, open the Media App hit the menu key and choose Explore, see f you are able to find and play some of the .mp3's

What is the size of the card? What is your current OS?
Have you ever gotten any files to show up?
Did you try formating the card?
Try just using windows explorer to drag and drop files

Ok well I don't think its the size of the card thats the problem

When I said OS I meant on your phone: options>about
(don't think this is really the issue anymore)

Try reformatting the card on your phone: options>media card then hit the menu key and format (obviosuly moving anything you need off of it first)

Then try getting files by drag and drop in the windows explorer instead of using roxio
