Default RIM saved?

With Google buying Motorola Mobility so they can start controlling the manufacture side of Android devices this market could potentionally turn into a RIM, Android (Motorola Mobility), and Apple market if Google changes their mind and decides to cut all of Android software OS providers out of the picture.

Default Re: RIM saved?

I doubt they will do that. Competition drives innovation, so if HTC or Samsung release some innovative device, it will force Motorola (now owned by Google) to stay competitive. Apple only releases one device a year on average. Android devices are released basically ever week, or so it seems. Also, it is still the Android Platform, so it is in Google's favor there as well.

I don't see how this will help RIM in any way.
