Default HELP! 8130 restarting after enabling mass storage mode!!

Please Login to Remove!

First off, love the new Pearl! I'm thrilled with this phone... except I'm having a problem...

-I'm running Mac OS X Leopard
-I bought a 4G Sandisk microSDHC card
-Formatted card in the phone, phone recognizes & writes to it perfectly
-I can write to the phone via Bluetooth push/pull

When I connect the phone to the computer via USB, it prompts to enable Mass Storage Mode. I select "Yes," and for about 3 seconds everything seems to be working fine...

...I see the drive come up in my Disk Utility
...and then the Blackberry RESTARTS!

This is a HARD restart - takes a good minute (with hourglass) at least for the phone to turn all the way back on. If I leave it connected via USB, it prompts me at startup to enable Mass Storage, and the process repeats itself.

I have tried removing the battery of the phone to no avail.

Any sage suggestions?
Your help would be much appreciated!

I'm having the exact same problem. Anyone with Leopard successfully getting USB Mass storage to work?

Try to enable the mass storage mode without the phone hooked to the computer through the options menu.

Thanks, but that just causes the phone to reboot just the same. It's a problem with Leopard I think. I am able to connect just fine using Win XP in VMWare, so it's not hardware or a phone setting.

Maybe I'll give the Telus OS a shot and see if it makes any difference...I wanted to install it regardless.

I'll report back if there are any changes.

There have been a few fixes from the Telus O.S. I loaded it on the other day.

Still no USB Mass Storage on Leopard with the Telus OS. This is definitely a OS X 10.5 problem. Not a huge deal since I have VMWare, but still slightly annoying.

this is frustrating. maybe put a request in with Apple? I want to put some music and videos on the phone, but bluetooth push is way to cumbersome.

I also can't get the card to mount to my Mac. Using an adapter with a card reader on my monitor- hard to troubleshoot and figure out what's really the problem (the adapter? the reader? the computer?). The reader works fine with CF cards so I don't think it's that.

Picked up my 8130 yesterday and have this exact problem. Might very well be a Leopard issue. I've read that formatting as FAT32 under Windows might help. Haven't tried it yet.

UPDATE:

I formatted as FAT32 under Windows and then tried it on my mac. After about 20 seconds, the drive appeared! I checked the console log and there were some I/O errors, but everything seems to work fine now.
