Question Frequent reboots BOLD?

Please Login to Remove!

Just got my new BOLD to work, but now the device is rebooting every 2 - 5 minutes? How can I fix this?

Do you have a media card in the device that was previously used in another device? If so remove. Do the reboots stop? If so then copy contents of card to Pc. Then format on pc and then format agin on bb. Copy only pics back to card. No directories or other files.

I use it as received from ebay from Rogers. it freezes up sometimes when i use it as an MP3 player (I have a 4mb card in it). haven't upgraded b/c i just did a BES activation and I don't want to draw too much attention to myself by doing it at work 2 times in 2 weeks.

Just checked the OS and I am on .126 (.135 platform). Probably a stupid question, but how do I upgrade to a later version? Can I upgrade to .190?

Wirelessly posted

I used to have mine reboot everyday at least once when I was on 185.

I heard it might be a problem with wifi too. And heard that after an upgrade, you should leave the battery out for a few minutes.

so I upgraded to 190, pulled the battery out for 10 minutes after, turn off wifi, and it hasn't rebooted for a few days now.
