Default iTune music to BB 8830

Please Login to Remove!

I would like to know how to put a purchased iTunes song on my BB 8830. I tried to copy and paste it directly to the BB through the Desktop Manager 4.6 software. I was offered the option to copy with no conversion as my only option. When I tried this option the song copied to the folder but could not be seen by the BB music player. Is there a legal application that allows us to do this?

Thank you in advance.

Blackberry has a "mediasynch" software package you can download right from the sight.

Take care

The only issue is songs purchased through the iTunes store are usually DRM protected and can not be played on the BlackBerry. Music must be DRM free.

It is some work, but you can burn the songs to a CD and then import them to iTunes and they will be DRM free.

Default I will consider it

I will certainly consider that option. I purchased a song from the MSN Beijing Olympics website. However, to do this I had to download iTunes to purchase the song. Talk about a monopoly. In any case, as I learned from you the song is not compatible in it's native format. How disappointing. Well, this 47 year old is not interested in messing with it tonight. Again, thank you for your insight I do appreciate it.

It doesn't help when something is only available with DRM from iTunes, but whenever I'm looking to buy digital music, I check Amazon as well. All their mp3s are straight mp3, no DRM. iTunes also has some music in iTunes Plus, which is more expensive, but also DRM free. The other benefit of both, other than no DRM is that they are encoded in a higher bitrate, so can sound better as well.
