Default Storm Issue - Touch Screen Acting Up

Please Login to Remove!

Just a question for Verizon Storm users.

I charge my Storm nightly. Occasionally when I wake it up the next day it runs choppy and the touch screen takes numerous clicks and rubbing to navigate through basic functions. Eventually its only a power down and battery pull that will get the phone to run normally again.

Is this happening to anyone else and any ideas as to why?

How often do you do a battery pull? With .75 I find that if I don't do one every couple of days, my phone starts acting wonky due to having less memory available.

I'm running .85 and I just had this problem this morning....haven't ever noticed it before, and I just load it last night...I don't know....it happened this morning when I layed the phone face up on a drum next to me...as I was practicing, I used my left hand(not trying to act like I'm super talented..lol) to select the button for bbmessenger, and it wouldn't work...

So far I only do a battery pull when this problem arises. And strangely today I had to do it a second time. Same issue, the touch screen was intermittently responsive and all buttons on the lower half wouldn't function at all.

Your phone is most likely having less memory available because your Event Log is loaded down. I clear my event log about once a week and this seems to keep my Storm running well.

Nope. Mine doesn't do it anymore. Might wanna upgrade to .85. Lol. Been using it since yesterday, and my memory, is still at 50.0 Mb. Yah, I know, what a great risk I took huh.

Nah, no risk. You know how to revert back to .75 if your unit starts to give you problems. Not everyone else has this ability.

I am sure you read the post where a member loaded a Beta OS that flopped and now the phone won't even let him revert to an official version.

Just remember, not everyone has your technical expertise.
