Lightbulb BerrySearch 0.9: web search app from the author of Berry411

Please Login to Remove!

I am pleased to announce the beta release of BerrySearch.

BerrySearch does for web search what Berry411 did for local search.

Key features:
- Google Suggest
- Single click access to Google, Wikipedia, Dictionary, Thesaurus, Image Search, and IMDB.

To install over the air, point your Blackberry at http://thebogles.com/berrysearch.jad

Please send me your feedback; I'm looking for input before the 1.0 release.

Thanks, Phil! I wouldn't have thought I needed an app like this, but after using it a bit, I'd be really disappointed if I had to delete it. Nice job, again.

Nice work! Is there a way to add a shortcut key? I use the Zen theme and don't really use the menu system that much because of the shortcut keys. It would be really helpful if you could let us assign a key.

Thanks you! Bradley

en.wapedia.mobi has always bugged me :| the app is great mind you, i've just always had trouble finding the articles i need on wapedia. i can't get to the article "30 even scarier movie moments". not something that'll end my life, or even really matter, but it was pretty frustrating at the time.

have you ever used all the web? it's not really mobile aimed, but it's good for images. it gives you more then 3 images per page, and direct access to them, not just a link to the page... just a thought.

Geez, thanks Phil. I just downloaded and am trying it out.

Now I gotta decide which other app I have to move OFF my home screen to make room for this one. Decisions decisions.

That is too friggin cool how the google suggest just pops up.

Thanks for your generosity in putting these apps together for us,

Thanks Phil. I just downloaded it and placed it right below Berry411. I've tested it and it works like a charm so far.

Being a photographer Berry411 has been a lifesaver. I am sure this will become of great use for quickly searching the Internet.

Again much thanks.

BerrySearch v0.9 is now available for free over-the-air download: http://thebogles.com/berrysearch.jad.

BerrySearch now features interactive autocomplete for Google, Wikipedia, and Dictionary searchesxxx8211; the autocompletions in each mode are suggested based on the particular content of that site.

The ability to get to a search prompt quickly without having to load Google into the browser cannot be underrated!

This app rocks.

This is a great app. I'm constantly looking stuff up on wikipedia and google. One small suggestion. When choosing an entry from the autocomplete feature (which is the coolest feature BTW), I feel that pressing enter should take me to the article. Instead, it just moves down to the next entry. I couldn't find a way to make a choice without using the trackwheel.
