Default Sub Folder Sync Question - 8830

Please Login to Remove!

I am a new BES admin...latest version of BES software for Exchnage 2003. I have a 8830 BB...EMail seems to be sync'ing ok...Have a question on subfolders...I enabled a couple sub folders in the BES admin window to Sync for this user. Seems that only emails with timestamps after the folder was set to sync are available on the BB phone. Is there any easy way (or what is the best way) to get older emails in the sub folders to be available on the BB device?

Depending on the version of the BES, on BES 4.0, it will prepopulate 5 days of msgs upto to 200 hundred in total, whichever is met first. So if email in these subfolders are older then 5 days it will not get transferred. I beleive 4.1 can get bit more, but not sure.

If you enabled them after you EA'd your device, those older than the date of the EA will not come across - another wipe and ea needs to be performed.

As well, you will need to remove your account from the BES (choose to remove info from your mailbox) and then complete the EA. You should then see as far back as your BES is set to prepopulate.

You can't sync them to the handheld. There's no way to do that.

Have the user forward those messages to himself.
That would be the only way.
