Default Curve or Pearl

Please Login to Remove!

I am in the market for a new phone. I have metro pcs now and dont like the phones or Coverage. I was a sprint customer back in the day and know that they are a little funny about billing and different things so I had my doubts about going back.
I was debating on going with another company such as T-Mobile but I was looking at the pricing and it seems that Sprint has the best prices for blackberry users with the Simply Everything plan. If anyone has any outlook on the service provider and pricing it would be great.

Also...........

Which phone does the forum prefer? Curve or Pearl?
If I was to go on the sprint network....

If I was to go on the T-Mobile network.....
Should it be the Pearl Flip or the Curve?????

Now I don't have a lot of money, I just like the phones and like to have the option of checking email and such. I am looking for the best prices and best features for the money, so if anyone can help me with my decision I would appriciate it. Thank you. Chow

I would say Curve over Pearl just for the full keyboard. I don't like flip phones, so I am biased against flip phones, and don't suggest them to anyone I know.

I think it's more personal preference. Both are good phones it's just a difference of a full or qwerty keyboard. With a full keyboard the phone is also slightly bigger.

I personally like having a full keyboard so I have the Curve.

thanks, I know a lot of ppl have been telling me about the keyboard, but that is not really an issue for me. I like having a small phone and the curve is a little bigger.

My main concern is the features really. Do both phones have the same features more or less. I think they do but not really to sure. If i had the money and could afford more priced carrier then I would get the bold but cant afford the pricing plan for gsm copanies.

agree with rick-ray, personal preference. myself, i don't do near as much emailing/texting, so i am happy with the pearl. two people in my office have the curve and they like it for the full qwerty. they like the simply everything plan. we crunched numbers the other day and i pay about $5 less per month than they do - which is negligible.

can't speak to sprint billing practices. i have combine billing with ATT and don't have any problems. good luck.

If you like smaller phone get the pearl.
It has some memory issues but all the features are the same and the keyboard is real easy to get use to and feels just like a full qwerty when all is said and done.

Also when I got my Pearl with sprint it was 29.99 with a new contract.

If you're at a point where you can switch carriers, make sure you pick the best carrier for your area first, then find your device offered by that carrier. I know too many people that have switched carriers to get a specific phone or device only to find out coverage stinks. Dropped calls suck.

Oh, and I would always go with a curve over a pearl for the full keyboard and bigger screen.

The Curve and Pearl flip have very similar feature sets. As others have pointed out, the form factor is really a matter of what works best for you. I would also recommend that you research the coverage, and pricing of the respective carriers as part of your decision.

I have the curve with t-mobile, and love both the service and the phone. Do not get the flip pearl ( personal opinion)

I just switched from the curve to the bold. I loved my curve. I also havee att combined with no problem for the very reason of coverage. I have relatives in the Cadix/ Hopkinsville Kentucky area and att was the only choice for good coverage. I would suggest selecting a what if location and see if your chosen carrier has coveage. Good luck

Hey Mr. Flex, my name is BJ DeHut and I am a representative for Sprint. I am glad you found out about our Simply Everything plan. I see you are having difficulty deciding between the Curve and the Pearl. I suggest you go to your local Sprint store to play around with both phones and find out which function set will be more useful to you. If you decide in the store which one you like, you can take advantage of our Ready Now program, where our representatives will help show you how to fully utilize all of your new BBs functions.

Always consider coverage first. Then compare the BB model offerings with the selected carrier.

Selecting a model is pretty much subjective preference. You'd need the specific model number (e.g. 8330 or 8310) to compare features. "Pearl" and "Curve" refer to a number of different models with different features.

There is no need to revive an old thread when you already have one. It's also unwarranted because your post has nothing to do with the topic.

If you are going to get a blackberry there's no point getting a pearl - might as well go for another phone - get the curve and at least have a proper qwerty keyboard

Isn't it rumored they are working on a Pearl2? So if your dead set on a Pearl I would wait.

Of course God only knows how long it would be till we see it however.

(It's rumored at the bottom of the the roadmap,http://www.berryreview.com/wp-conten...009roadmap.jpg )
