i have bb desktop manage 4.7. i have tried 5.0 also.

i have about 3700 contacts in my bb that i synchronize with my outlook.
when i do a synch it suddenly stops and the error message says " blackberry desktop has encountered an error" some people have said that my contacts may be corrupt.... i just want to know is there another application out there that lets me synch my bb with my outlook?

i really appreciate the help

Welcome to the forums.

Create a backup of your data.

Once you have the backup, try clearing your contacts database on the device by doing the following:

In DM, go to Backup/Restore, select Advanced, in the device database column, highlight address book and select clear.

That will clear your address book database. Once it shows empty on the device, try to resync with Outlook.

Worst case scenario, if the sync still doesn't work, then do a restore from the backup you just created.

You could always try syncing with Google Contacts and see if that works - done via the net so you need a data plan.
