I have been compiling and running applications on the simulator using the eclipse plugin for over a month now with no problem. However today I got this error when trying to build my project:

I/O Error: Cannot run program "jar": CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file specified

I did not change anything in the project properties or the path, nor did I install/remove anything from my computer recently. Has anyone else encountered this error or found a solution for it?

I found a thread which was very similar, but adding the the JDK bin folder to my path variable did not fix the problem:

Edit: Seems I mistyped the path to the jdk bin folder, adding it to the PATH variable fixed my problem. However, it still seems really strange that it should just stop working all of a sudden, seeing as I haven't touched the path at all since I set up my development environment.

I am having the exact same error, did you manage to figure out what was causing this? I have checked environment variables, reinstalled JDK, Eclipse and JDE Plugin and no joy!

Found the answer, the Java Home path inside eclipse had changed, I corrected this and it is working now.

For anyone else with this error this is in:

eclipse -> Window -> Preferences -> Blackberry JDE -> Installed Components -> Java Home
