Angry scrambled pictures

Please Login to Remove!

Pictures I've taken on my 8300 that were once fine are now scrambled and completely messed up. When I connect to my pc, the pictures won't even open. Pictures I took from another camera are ok, pictures taken before a certain date and after another date with this one are ok, it's like there's a range in the middle where they're all corrupted.

Any ideas?

I had the same thing happen with a digital camera when its SD card became corrupted. Some of the photos were OK, while others were distorted (presumably because only a portion of the card had bad sectors). I tried reformatting the card, but the problem persisted. I threw away the card and bought a replacement.

If you run chkdsk on the flash card it will mark any bad sectors this is a quick way to see what the problem is.

Thumbs up

Hey, thanks. chkdsk didn't really do much for me, but I defragged it and the pictures came back. I wish I hadn't deleted all the unreconizable one first.
Do BB's have a recycle bin?? haha

Can't say for 100% certain it'll work for you, but I've always gotten great results in recovering accidently deleted media files when using the SoftPerfect File Recovery software. It'll work on just about everything... your hard drive, USB flash drives, and most memory cards (works fine with my 1gb and 4gb MicroSD's used in my Blackberry).

Best of all, it's totally *FREE* for use. You can download it from their site...

Restore accidentally deleted files from FAT and NTFS volumes

I hope it works for ya! I'm always kickin' myself in the butt for deleting picture files that I wish I hadn't
