Add a signature in the email settings, the options aren't there, for Storm 2 doesn't work on my OS 5.0.0.320 Verizon 9550

#14 - Doesn't work either, the options aren't there.

Use a different color for personal and work email - Options> Security
Options>Information>Message Outline Colors>Pick them>Menu>Save.

For both of those you have to be on the corporate server - BES.

Hi... This is a great thread! awesome work dude... There are a minor thing I would check out...

(ATTACHED)
In the music section:
To play the next song, you have to hold the Volume Up key
To repeat song or play previews, then hold the Volume Down key

Other than that its pretty good.

I use my 9550 as my main mp3 player (F. ipods) and its great (battery is around 8 hours with BT stereo headset)
and I would like to make the most of it as a video player... I have a couple of movies in it but I would like to know how to use the Closed Caption feature that appears in the Options at Media Playback...

Also what is the hole at the top of the device for? (the one that looks like the speakerphone and is in between Power and Mute keys)

I would have love to have Stereo Speaker, it would be awesome for movies in landscape mode but it does not seem to come any sound out of the top...

The speaker directly above the word "Blackberry" is the output for voice calls.

I can't post pics or links yet, but search google for "belt clip holster storm 2". The first shopping result shows an example.

Page 11... Looking up a person in firm-wide directory... I think you meant to say "enter the first 3-4 letters of the last name...." rather than the last letters.

Great tip!

I don't see an ALT key. Is it a key with a special symbol? The "123"?

For OS 5.0

1. Options --> Screen/Keyboard
...Change Portrait View Keyboard to Sure Type
...Change Left Side Convenience Key Opens to Virtual Keyboard
...Press Escape key...click on Save...go back to homescreen

2. Press the left side convenience key, and the keyboard pops up. You MUST be on the homescreen in portrait view, not the screen that appears when you press the BlackBerry key.

3. Make the log appear by pressing and holding the !?123 key until a lock appears on it, then pressing the " and / keys alternately till the event log appears.

4. Press the BlackBerry button, click Clear Log, confirm action...done.

I think it is the same for 4.7, but I'm not 100% on that.

My preferred method of the clearing the log is just adding it to the QuickLaunch (can't post link....google it) menu. Best $5 ever spent.

Both phones are relatively similar and most of the tips work for both.

As for the youtube app link in the tips......

the app is no longer needed. simply go to m.youtube.com from your phone's browser and enjoy.
