Default Rogers Customers: unlimited data promotion - extended

Please Login to Remove!

My 3 month unlimited data promotion expired (true unlimited - not Rogers "25 MB unlimited") recently which made me completely slow down on my BB usage as I took quite a bit of advantage of it. However when it expired it went down to the 1 MB package which I chose to opt-in for in the beginning since I was already getting unlimited and didn't see the sense of paying extra when the features would be the same. Anyhow, I called to upgrade to the 25 MB plan and they informed me that I would lose my unlimited voice & SMS plan if I did so. After agreeing with me that logic of the situation is idiotic, he gave me an extension of true unlimited data until my 6 month voice & SMS promotion expires. Not all that bad for the company we all so affectionately refer to as Robbers Wireless.

If you're in a similar situation and just lost your unlimited data promotion.. call them for the extension.

Thanks. My unlimited data expires on May 3 and I am definitely going to try to extend it. I used 48 MB in my first month. That's about a $170 overage at the going rate!

I just purchased a new 8700 and have asked if I get the truly unlimited package, but have not received a response from rogers. All other questions they have responded to very quickly.
