no such option
Please Login to Remove!
sheesh..this is so frustrating! I do not have that option. I think you've indicated that you find that option by going to "Options" in the Main Menu of DM. I have no idea whats different. We've both downloaed the same version of DM.

could it be attributable to Windows 7?
is anyone running DM and getting the easier pull-down option to select from multiple Profiles running Windows 7?

Open Desktop Manager, Click Synchronize, then click Synchronize (under configure on the left), hit synchronize again, choose the PIM you want and hit setup, hit Next twice and you will be at the screen I posted a few posts up.

They should be unrelated but try the suggestion Steve086 stated. If that fails I would try the full download with Roxio

All, I'm wondering if DM saw Outlook when it installed, or some hiccup occurred. I am running 5.0.1.28 on a PC with outlook, and on a netbook without Outlook or OE or anything DM would recognize. I have the profiles option on the PC, but not on the netbook.
Also, Scott, the other day there was a post from someone about the Choose Profiles dialog when he was installing the DM update. Was that you? As I said, I'm just trying to understand if you got the prompt on setup.
Waiting to hear what you found out with the reinstall.

Did not work
aiharkness, switching the download to include Roxio...did not appear to correct the problem. I still do not have a "drop-down" option for each Profile in the "Options" box in the right-hand corner. In the course of the install, it actually "sees" the two profiles, but forces a selection. There is not an option for "all", or some other technique to permit the selection of one or the other. This has me completely frustrated. This is a new laptop with new Windows 7, and brand-new Outlook 7. Nothing unusual here! I may try re-downloading the file from Blackberry again tonight and try all over again. Any suggestions would be welcome! And thanks again for all your efforts!!

I'm stumped on why you still don't have the profiles option on the main menu screen under options.
Are you really committed to using the different profiles in Outlook? You don't have to just because you have multiple email accounts. But if you have other reasons I understand. However, using just a single Outlook profile might make your problems go away.

Single profile?
So, if I eliminate the second Profile in Outlook, what "functionality" in Outlook will I give up. For instance, two different email address in one profile...
1) Will the email (send and receive folders) be separated for each email address?
It seems a shame to forgo the benefits of the multiple profiles, but I may as well ask...how would I set-up two email addressesin one profile, and retain separate folders?

You would add the second address the same way you added the first. By default, you will have one inbox, of course, but if you want to sort the incoming mail you would do it by creating folders and using rules to sort messages sent to one address into one folder and email sent to the other address into the other folder.
When you have more than one address, you select one as the default for sending. If you want to change that, you do it for the individual message when you compose.
The advantage is you can't do this without having to close Outlook and open on the other profile, right?
I'm not certain it will fix your issues, but it's something to try.

I see this in my own setup. But I also now have profile options in the options menu on the main DM screen with this latest update. The OP does not.

I have tried different ways to load DM and nothing I do duplicates the display the OP has. The one thing I don't have is windows 7. I'm looking around for a copy to play with. Who knows maybe there is a bug he discovered.

Heh. Being a late adotper has some advantages. Microsoft is still maintaining XP, and my 8820 will do for a little while longer.

Still working on this...
I will try to reload once again tonight. Still not able to choose between Profiles yet. Yu may be right, this may be attributable to Windows 7...if so, I hope somebody from BB is reading this! I'll post again tonight and let you know if I have any success. You guys have been terrific, thanks!
