Default SMS Text Problem: Can Send, But Not Receive

Equipment: Bold 9000
Provider: AT&T
Issue: SMS Texts

I'm having a very frustrating problem with the Bold (9000).

I can send text messages fine, but am not receiving all texts. Some people I receive texts fine from, others I do not. I have only been able to pinpoint one particular provider this is associated with so far: Verizon.

Basically, when they try to send me a text, it 'goes out', then several days later, they get an error message: "message to (123)456-7890 has expired". I never recieve anything.

I've called AT&T tech support numerous times and they swear it's the recipients service. I doubt this as I didn't have a problem texting or receiving until I switched to AT&T and bought a Bold. My friend has contacted Verizon and they swear it's not them as well.

Have any of you had a similar problem? If so, how did you resolve it?

Att and vzw use the same service to provide texts!

Likely need to have a trouble ticket by both carriers submitted. For some reason vzw and att don't always play well together while texting

Angry same problem

I just realized I'm having the same problem. I send my sister (who has Verizon) a message... and I receive her reply... but if she sends me a messsage on her own I don't get anything. What a load of cr*p.

Its just a verizon/att quirk. My family has verizone i have att sometimes I get their messages anywhere from never to days later. Its something I've come to accept.
