I have no need for BB Maps (google maps fits me better, living near DC and being able to check traffic, BIG PLUS for me)

anyway, i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the desktop software, (DM 4.2 SP2) then going into the apploader and unchecking BB Maps, it says remove next to it, when the device reboots, there is BB Maps again. On top of that, EVERYTIME i connect the device to the computer i get a prompt saying there is an update available to BB Maps, goes through, does its thing and on reboot, and reconnect says the same thing, OVER AND OVER...

please help, i've been scratching my head for a day now...

oh, and i've tried uninstalling from the Options->Advanced->Applications and when i connect to the DM it reinstalls the damn program...

2 parts to this post... first, I completely forgot i already posted about this issue... (it was 12:30 in the morning when i did the original one, must have been sleep posting)

second thing is, after i was messing around a little bit, i finally got bb maps off the phone for good HOWEVER, i no longer have LBS now either... not too sure what this does but, i remember it had something to do with GPS when i was going through all my applications a few days ago...

how do i get LBS back on my phone? or do i need to reinstall the OS on the phone?

LBS on the applications is blackberry maps thats the name the used. To enable location based services you can turn it on from options=locations based services

OOHH, well, I no longer have this application on my phone. And I was wondering how to get it back
