Default Delay receiving Outlook emails

Please Login to Remove!

There seems to be a 10 minute delay between when I receive emails to my Outlook and when they arrive to my 8830. Any suggestions?

If you are on BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) and NOT a corporate BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Service) that is normal, about 15 minutes between push to the BB.

And, welcome to the Forums.

Thank you for the info.

I take it that this doesn't apply to web-based email, as my gmail is coming through immediately.

No web based mail does enter into the matter.

GMail and Yahoo work on an instant push. AOL and others, still the polling interval.

Just polling every email account every fifteen minutes is a HUGE underaking! Just imagine the number of "polls" it would take to do it every minute! It would increase polling everyones account 15 times more than it does now. Alot of email providers do not like each of it's accounts polled every minute.

You can use a 3rd party service like I do called VersaForward VersaForward Email Forwarding Service - AOL, Hotmail, MSN, Yahoo to your Cell Phone, Blackberry, or Email these people will forward your AOL mail instantly to your BB email address.

If you are on BIS, then you won't. If you are on BES, you should. Talk to the BES Admin and resend the service books.

The only way to get OTA sync to the calendar is with BES.

Right...but when I accept the appointments, they don't make it to the calendar for some reason.
