Not sure why i can't get mine to work...

I am on a corporate network. This is what i have done:

- APN is set to my companies proxy server and port number
- I have MDS TCP selected

What is does is it just sits at "logging in, please wait" and after ~30 seconds, i get a flashing hourglass.

I've tried multiple settings (i used tmobile settings, i tried no proxy/tmobile settings) with no luck. Any help would be much appreiciated! Thanks!

Sounds like a corporate firewall issue. Check with your BlackBerry administrator to make sure that access to toc.oscar.aol.com is allowed.

try resetting your firewall and see if it notifies ramble is trying to get out.

Okay I read this thread, and every other thread I could find on the same connection issue.

BB 7100T
T-Mobile

I get the famous: "Invaid Connection String: could not open tunnel - failed".

I've tried changing the ports on the AIM server in the options, the TCP options, disabling the firewall, reinstalling the software, hard resetting, etc.

I've tried every tip and trick listed in this thread and the others about the same error message.

I'd appreciate any help, this is driving me nuts.

Yes I must have missed that one.

When I searched for it, so many threads came up and I looked through about ten of them until I thought that maybe it was a unique problem.

Thanks for helping me with that. I really appreciate it, and thanks for the quality program! Really fantastic.

And to the sluggish on a 7100 series comments, I find it to be very adequate on my device, with well over 100 buddies. Once they've all loaded it works great.

This is a known behavior. It isn't really an error since it isn't supposed to vibrate unless your in the app. Notifications are being reworked now. It is not known when the update will be available at this point (busy with some other stuff, sorry!).

Same issue here. I don't know what the issue is. Any insight would be appreciated.

Bilal232, are you still having connection issues? The Nextel 7520 is preconfigured for TCP, so I would suspect a server-side issue, particularly since it was working for you previously.

Did you device configuration change at all? Did you upgrade or re-install Ramble? If so, make sure that your 'Network Connection' setting is 'Use Device TCP'. With a nextel device, this should 'just work'.

Brandon, are you also on a Nextel 7520? What error message are you receiving? Did it also previously work for you?

Yes, I have a nextel 7520. It was previously working up until yesterday. I tried redownloading it 2-3 times. Still doesn't work. I keep receiving the same error as the other guy.
