Has anyone heard of or have seen this? Looks interesting, but it doesn't seem like you can run apps with it, although it says you can. No reviews as of yet....

looks pretty promising if it does what it claims it can do. I wonder if there are any draw backs such as lagg and what not.

When I first read about it on BerryReview this morning, I thought, "wow, cool!".

If I interpret the screen shots correctly, basically it's a cod-launcher; where the cod resides on the SD card. The launcher would reside on the BB of course but the cod's on the SD card would be startable by this launcher.

As excited as I was, I then just looked at my currently installed applications; and tried to imagine which ones would be suitable for residing on the memory card. Excepting one card game, I came up empty.

Almost everything I have is either 1) an always-running stock RIM app (browser, messages, BB Messenger, etc.), or 2) a tightly integrated stock RIM app that isn't always running BUT is and can be called up by other applications (address book, calendar, etc.), or 3rd Party applications that auto-start and are running in the background (MiniMoni, BB Alerts, Pocket Day, i,CallMgr, MultiAlarm, BB Profile Scheduler, etc.).

So that leaves my card game (which uses 5 cod modules), Google Maps (which I don't use that often but I have it just in case), and perhaps Viigo (uses a whole whack of modules). Oh and maybe my 3rd party media player.

Again, the ability to run applications off of storage cards is exciting news! Or is it? I guess someone will have to test it and see what runs and what doesn't. ;)

Any word on this app yet? I'm curious how Gmail apps would react to it (possibily save me about a MB if it does work, more with others included).
Looked at their website, a couple interesting products including an event viewer and a file manager with Zip/UnZip capability.

i have tried both that sd loader and the explore and as for the sd loader it does delete the app but it dont upload like it says it suppose to .. i went as far to even dl both the sd and the explore and thinking that they need work together and still nuttin.. my thoughts on it its sounds nice and promising but i think that they need a little more word for word in there instructions on how it works and how to operate it ..

all the app does is allow you to install FROM SD card, it does not install TO the SD card. The apps still resides in internal device memory. It allows you to uninstall applications as well, through a cleaner interface than the application menu under options > advanced options but that is all.

I have it, but with the explore ability that you can use in the later OS's (4.3 etc) from the media app, you can do the exact same thing.

Ohh that sounds good. If i load all the apps I love onto it, and then never have to find them online again, or worry about accidently deleting them from my PC. hehe. But no way I'll pay for that "luxury"
