Default UMA fails??

Please Login to Remove!

My UMA fails from time to time at home and I have to restart my router or turn my phone off and then on. What is causing this issue?

I have the Linksys T-mobile router.

Thanks

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700g: BlackBerry8320/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

What operating system do you have installed on the BlackBerry? (Options > About)

When you say "fail" can you be a little more specific?

Also, try this:

Default Info

I am running V4.2.2.180

When I say fail I mean my WIFI stays black but my UMA goes away. The error code is W0005.1
ISP Error. Retry If I wait, it finds the UMA on its own. I also get a W006.1 error code and a ISP or T-Mobile Network error

Thanks

From all my dealings with T-mo and failed UMA, that particular error code is usually on their end. One particular time I called it turned out to be a overloaded UNC that engineering was working to fix. However, I did have one time where no matter what I did I could not get a UMA connection even though my phone was connected to my router. The solution was a new sim card.

So after you have tried all the basics, pulling the battery, etc.
Next try multiple hotspots in addition to your home router. If you get the same error, call t-mobile because it's going to be on their end (or a replacement 8320).

But be aware, Seattle and Portland just underwent a major winter storm with some of the worst flooding in 50 years, and I had read on another post that a tech told them that t-mobiles NOC center was actually flooded out in Seattle. So if you have seen some of the other posts reporting UMA outtages, it could very well be due to that fact. Call them anyway and report it.
