hi Folks,
Do I need to turn on GPRS mode when using the WiFi? If yes, will I be charge with the GPRS rate since I am using a local WiFi connection?

Make sense. But when I used WiFi, it can sign on to my router but it shows a yellow No Entry sign until i turn on the Data Services of my GPRS when it then becomes green with a Tick symbol beside. Without which, WiFi wouldn't work? I have done a Wipe Handheld with it's original configuration and it's the same thing. if I turn on GPRS, WiFi works and is much faster though compared with GPRS alone. As such, I think I might have a problem with the WiFi. Any help appreciated.

Does SingTel Mobile (Singapore) has UMA or UMC capability or do I have to still turn on the GPRS? Please advice.

I'm not aware of anyone but TMobile having UMA. You'd need to check with your carrier.
