I want to turn this off so I can use shortcut keys. I go into phone > options > general options and there is no option to turn this off.

Any idea why this would be missing? Is the option somewhere else now?

4.1.0.268 on a VZW 7130e.

I don't think the 7130 allows using shortcuts from the home screen.

One thing the 71xx series lost.

Also upgrading from 4.0 to 4.1 you loose the option to search for names within the phone book. Now you have to go to the address book, that sucks!!

On a 71xx just press and hold the green button.. It takes you to the address book and you can search quickly there.
