Hello All, first poster here...looks like a great forum

I've had my 7100 for about a month now, I did not include voice mail in the plan that I purchased...the extra $5 or so a month on top of all the other nickel and dime charges irked me. I figured that I could forward my calls to my home # after about 3 rings and have my home voice mail take the message.

I haven't found a way to do this as yet. I can forward calls, but the only option I have is to forward all calls, not after 3 rings which is what I really want.

Any ideas? Do I have to add voice mail to my service book regardless of whether I use home voice mail or Rogers network voicemail?

Any insight would be greatly appretiated.

I don't think that there is a conditional call fwd option, but I could be wrong.

i think you can only forward a specfic # no? but it would be so cool if you can do that =D

Ya I can't believe RIM doesn't provide this option. I don't want seperate home and cell voice mail. Service Providers (Rogers et al) probably don't want RIM to provide this so they can nickel and dime us for another $5.00 per month.

I can't believe it I actually found the answer to my own question on Rogers.com FAQ. The below codes probably only apply to Rogers (other providers would most likely offer this but have different codes) but I thought I would share. Here is the code to Busy/ No Answer Transfer (includes busy, no reply & out of reach)

To activate: * 004 * [area code and phone number] # SEND
To cancel: # 004 # SEND
To reactivate: * 004 # SEND
Status: * # 004 # SEND

Further useful codes are as follows:

Busy/ No Answer Transfer (includes busy, no reply & out of reach
