Default 9700 coming to Bell and not Rogers this year

Please Login to Remove!

I have been told that Bell will be selling the 9700 as of next Thursday and Rogers will not be releasing it until the New Year. Take it for what it's worth....

I haven't heard any announcement yet. If they're releasing next Thursday, they would have already sent out releases.

There are screenshots floating around from Bell's computer system indicating this but when speaking with a Bell rep. today they haven't heard anything about it. Maybe a cut and paste job. As for Rogers, have have indicated that the only bb's to be released this year is the 8520 which will be next month and the Storm 2 which will be just before Christmas. Who knows....

Its very easy for anyone to come on here and predict a date, its just sepculation at this point unless you have a strong source...

Default Update

A Bell Mobility store emailed me yesterday (I have some business with them) with pricing and specs for the 9700 on Bell and told me this:

"we should see this unit (as I am told) by the first week of November."

Do whatever you want with this info friends. It seems that Bell and Rogers are introducing this device around the same time.

I spoke with Rogers, and they are releasing this on the 26th. They are just about ready to start their training on the new unit.

I don't believe so. Glad we heard it from torberry here first!

As usual, I will believe it when I hear it from RIM or a carrier first.

I'll believe it when I get one in my hands.
Which should be soon. But not today.

I respectfully apologize to JS and Grumpberry (lol) for posting info that was not 100% verified or accurate. It appears that I am off by 1 week or so but I can't guarantee anything. Hoping you can all pick up the pieces of your shattered dreams!
