Default Transfer content between blackberries

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, I have recently acquired a BB9700 bold and wish to transfer from my old BBCurve all content into new BB. I have tried the tool in BBsoftware to exchange units but it is not working. Any ADVICE?

You can set up GMail on the old unit, sync contacts and calendar, then set up that GMail account on the new BlackBerry. That will get calendar and contacts transferred.

Otherwise use the Desktop Manager to backup the old one, then restore the new one from that backup file.

Thank you for your advice. I am trying to get the Desktop Manager of BB to perform the transfer. Here's the problem. I connect my bb by usp connection, the desktop scans, backups device and then request new bb to get connected to pc. Here's where the problem starts, once i disconnect the old, my pc cannot locate the new bb. What do I do?

When you plug in the new BlackBerry, leave Desktop Manager running but pull the new one's battery. When it restarts it may be recognized by the pc.
