Yes, i am getting it to and mine also started when I upgraded to 4.1.7. Doesn’t seem to affect the user. Out of 80 users I have had problems with three or four so far. Its a series of the "[SYNC-SSession] Failed to remove GET command from SyncRequest." errors in a a row all at the same timestamp. On one user I wiped his phone and reactivated to no avail. It would be nice to see who all is having this issue and what the cause is. In my BES world, the application log gets a good working over with warnings and the occasional red X

Well, I chickened out after fully reading the release notes and saw how the Known Issues far outweighed the fixed ones. So I just upgraded to 4.1.6 MR8 instead.

Just wanted to bump this up to see if there is anyone else who has upgraded to SP7 and their results. I'm not sure whether to install MR8 or jump right to SP7.

We did not install SP7 on our BES because it included fixes for problems that we did not have. When the latest PDF vulnerability surfaced we applied MR8. We do not plan on install SP7. We are planning our upgrade to 5.0

Thanks for the info. Makes sense if you're going to 5.0 soon. We don't have plans for an upgrade to 5 at the moment.

Default Event 36027

I upgraded to BES servers last night to SP7 and I'm receiving Blackberry Synchronization Service Event 36027 "[SYNC-SSession] Failed to remove GET command from SyncRequest" errors periodically for different users. Anybody have any ideas on this?

Installation of MR1 for BES 4.1.7 didn't resolve the problem. Still need help.

Whay device OS is that user on? Maybe there is an upgrade.

Have you tried to see if its relaleted to the user or a BES issue?
Try wiping the device and activate it again and see if it comes back.

Thumbs down Holding off

We're def. holding off. This service pack looks like a disaster. Like others have said here, it appears to break more than it fixes -- what's the point? The fact that they are on SP7 and that SP6 made it all the way to MR 8 baffles me. Maybe "SP99" will really fix'er up. Sorry to be negative, but Sysadmins have enough on their minds.

We just want some reliable software!

We'll wait until MR2 or MR3 since MR1 really didn't do much. Otherwise, we'll stay on SP6 MR7.

You should go to SP6 MR8 if you allow viewing of PDF attachments. MR8 contains a security fix. We are on SP6 MR8 and it works very well for us. We are holding off of SP7 as well.

Question

We are running a twin BES server load balancing talking to a single SQL database, we are planning to role to SP7 on one of the BES instances and were wondering if there would be any issues on running different versions talking to a common SQL instance

Thanks in advance

Most of the Service Packs also update the DB schema and probably add new tables. So I would not recommend to point BB servers on different SP levels to the same DB.

It looks like the problem isn't harmful. This is what RIM investigated yet:

Ok, have I totally lost my mind? I could have sworn that there was a link to download SP7, MR2 last week and now I don't see one - only MR1.

I'm going to be upgrading our 4 BES servers this weekend from 4.1.6 MR4 to 4.1.7 MR1. Wish me luck.
