Default Browser Problem On New BES 5.0.2

Please Login to Remove!

Hi!
I'm just after a fresh install of BES 5.0.2. The first user was successfully migrated from 4.1.7 BES. Everything seems to be wroking fine, but the Browser - it doesn't work on the handheld. I created a new user and the browser doesn't work on his hanheld as well.
JRE ver. is 1.6.0.20, MDS CS is set, proxy mappings are done but the broswer doesn't work. When I try to go to a website I receive "HTTP error 400: Bad Request". Intranet websites are working fine. When I try to go to the website there is an error logged in event log on the BES:

Source: BlackBerry MDS Connection
Event ID: 15000

<2010-10-01 14:58:56.002 CEST>:[221]:<MDS-CS_BES-SRV01_MDS-CS_1>:<ERROR>:<LAYER = SCM, Failed to update device OS to HTTP header compression version mapping For input string: "">

Do you any idea why I can't make any page work? Is there any guide which shows step-by-step how to configure MDS CS on BES 5.0.2?

I will be greatful for any suggestions that might help.

Scalable HTTP may be at play.

Check this out:-

Thx for help. I confirm that both options were ON so I turned it off, restarted the server but it didn't resolve the problem. We checked at Websense that there are no entries of websites that I try to reach from BlackBerry Browser. That means that BES doesn't even ask proxy for the website. So I'm still looking for the answer.

I found the solution. Proxy mappins settings were wrong.
It was:
http://*
https://*

It has to be:
http://.*
https://.*

Best regards.

Default Re: Browser Problem On New BES 5.0.2

I do not want to open a new thread, since I have a similar problem... and here is what I did:
(after I read a lot of posts on the similar matter):
Use Scalable HTTP - set to No
Use Scalable Socket Connections - set to No

Changed the http port on the BES to 8090 (tried with several combination of the proxy settings below)
Tried with:
- no proxy settings,
- direct proxy settings
- proxy pointed to the proxy script

I even had the admin set the firewall (ISA 2006) to bypass the content filter
for anything originating from the IP address of my BES.

No luck, still getting the same error.
I can access the web b using web'n'walk browser (T-mobile carrier).

What am I missing? (hair, I know, I pulled it out... )

Thank you,
Hrvoje
