This feature exists on most BB devices. It sure does on the Bold, and I believe has been around for a while.

Enjoy...

I never noticed this feat, and I've gone through 3 different generations of Crackberries. >.<

Thanks for sharing, lol.

Mine seems to go to Contacts if I just hold the send button once. Anyone else getting that?

you can also set in the options of the dialpad to default to contacts instead of dialpad when you press the green button once...

FWIW - for the noobs, tapping the send key twice brings up the last number dialed. Essentially "redial".

How do I dial extensions on the Storm. I used to be able to dial "X" and then the extension on previous Blackberrys.

Thank you.

Yep, this is just a single press and hold feature, double tapping will redial.

Like phone_caller I would like to know if you can put an X in the dial screen to call an extension within my organization.

Does anybody know if it can be done?

Yes.

I actually set all of my conference invitations (in Outlook) to have "EXT" or "X" instead of "PASSCODE". This tells the BlackBerry to dial the number, WAIT, and then send the passcode/extension when you want.

To be clear, it has to dial the outside number; it can't *just* dial the extension by itself.

On another note, it's funny - it took the BlackBerry Storm (with it's "variable" keyboard) to help me learn that "SHIFT-SPACE" inserts a "/" in Web addresses within the browser.

Who knew...

fyi - you can change the default screen in the phone options so you don't have to hold anything if you prefer contacts come up when you press "send".
