Default BES GW - deleted contacts reappearing in GW

Please Login to Remove!

We are able to duplicate this on multiple Blackberry's. Users are finding deleted contacts reappearing in Groupwise.

It does not matter 'where' the contact was made (BB or GW), but it does matter 'where' the contact is deleted from. See below:

1. created on BB, deleted via BB - it does delete from GW

2. created in GW, deleted via GW - it does NOT delete in BB and then puts it back into GW on the next syncing cycle

3. created in BB, deleted via GW - it does NOT delete in BB and then puts it back in GW on the next syncing cycle.

4. created via GW, deleted via BB - it does delete from GW

If deleted from the BB, it will delete from GW. But if deleted from GW it does not delete the other way. This also happens in the calendar, when I remove appts. from the calendar, I will find them again the next day - they've been re-added to the calendar (or address book or whatever) during another syncing.

BES Server is set to 'Server wins'.

Thoughts?

Default Unable to duplicate

I can't duplicate this problem. I have setup the contacts as specified, but everything works as it is supposed to. What versions are you on? BES=4.0.3 HF3, GW client 6.5.6.

Found this in the GWPA log, shortly after I deleted 'John Doe' from my Groupwise Address Book, and found him back in there a few minutes later.

Default Reconcile

Are you forcing the reconcile or are you letting it run its course?

In my testing, I am forcing it by turning the wireless address book sync off and back on, but we have duplicated it without a forced sync also.

OK. I have seen really stange things happen with forcing the reconcile, but since it is happening "naturally" I guess that isn't that case.
