I see in recent weeks alot of listings with peeps under 10 posts and some with their first and last posts in threads where they are selling. Just recently actually going on now a light posted peep took the money and apparently ran. I would suggest that to be able to list in that forum you would need to have 50 semi meaningful posts and a mod approve that persons right to list. It seems peeps they can run over here and post a for sale ad wheter they just joined or not. Just a thought but I think we are headed for troubled water if we dont do something. JMHO
I think you have a good idea and I see what thread you're referring too. Having a set amount of 50-100 posts before starting a WTS thread might not be a bad idea.
Just last week I wanted to start a WTS thread on another forum, even though I've been a member their for a year, I was about 75 post shy of their 100 post rule.
I have tried in many of the noobie sales posts, to post a personal warning to potential buyers, to inquire of paypal and ebay feedback first, and to warned that this seller has no history on this forum.
I like the idea of the posting limit as well. The WTB/WTS area already has posting requirements, could we make it a requirement to post their eBay user ID or something similar to avoid having the mods manually have to post the reminders?
Maybe some of that fallout with the combination of human greed. I have seen you post your warnings for peeps to check feedback but we are all gulity of seeing a bargain and thats all we see. Wow a Bold for 275 better jump before someone else does...We or most of us just see the good side of peeps and see that shiny Bold in our hands instead of an empty wallet. I dont claim that a 50 post mandatory will elimiinate all scammers but it sure would make a huge dent because they dont want to hang around that long. Again JMHO
