Take the converter that you got with the card and insert only the card to the computer, idk if it will work if you use BB as mass storage device

but open the card and cut paste all items into a folder on your computer (like desktop)

then right click on the card and reformat the card.

had the same problem with my old phone and im sure its the same thing possible, just the card needs to be reformated

doesnt take long at all

after it has reformated just cut paste all songs back to the card

NOTE if you dont move the items off the card, all items will be deleted during reformat

Thank you!

I had formated my card or reinstall OS,but the same problem happened,
I remember in the early time I use bb,I do not meet this problem.
I do not clearly know from when my bb has this problem.

How long do you use bb?have you met this problem?

Are you ejecting the card before removing the cable?
I find that this almost always happens when someone just decides to yank my cable out the PC before I can eject the device.

You could use the SD adapters, or the BB, either works fine. But I find the BB to be slower to read from/write to.

This works for me, and I also find that you can use the Error Checking utility instead of formatting the card.

Yup, this definitely sounds like you're not ejecting the device before unplugging the cable.
The device should always be 'stopped' before removing the connection.

actually, when we are not transporting data between PC and bb(or any other device),we can unplugging the cable even if we do not eject the bb,It will be OK,
the problem I met is irrespective with this.
but ejecting the device before unplugging the cable is indubitably a good habit.

So even when you eject the card, and the PC tells you that 'you can safely remove the device', you still get the error?

If thats the case, then you may have a bad card. May be time to get a new one, since formatting doesn't resolve the problem either.

I had this problem with one PC. If I hooked my phone to it with the USB and tried copying files it would corrupt the card somehow. I can copy direct to the card with a sd converter but if I do it using mass storage mode it messes up the card. Only happens with one of my computers and I have no idea why.
