Talking I just ordered my 8900 :)

Please Login to Remove!

After much deliberation (especially because I was so in love with the Bold... now I'm over that) I just ordered my 8900 from T-Mobile.

I went to see both phones and the Bold just seems huge compared to the 8900. And I really do like T-Mobile so I wasn't keen on switching carriers.

Just had to share... I'm sure I will be on this forum a bit now.

Thanks!

I feel very silly for posting my excitement. I know I'll have silly questions in no time, as I always do.

I've actually been floating around here for 2 years, but still-- my bf says I'm a dork about my gadgets. He was laughing at my giggliness when I completed my order. But I seriously can't help it.

I just bought the 8900 today after having the bold (too big) and the storm (need the keyboard). I'm a little disappointed that can't get my personal email up and running... T-mobile says I have to wait the full 48 hours for "provisioning" to take affect.

I've never experienced that before.....

You can leave the OS that your phone comes with, no worries, it will work just fine. And yes, it will be the latest OS for t-mobile but higher OS's are out there from other carriers and in beta...

Luckily (I think) - I'm not patient...and having BB's before - this didn't seem the norm.

I called T-mobile again. Apparently they have a BES plan that locks out personal email. That is what they put on my account. They changed it - told me I needed to wait 2 to 4 hours "again"....

I was up and syncing in less than 15 minutes....

You will dig the 8900. It is a great phone and I have no complaints. The camera rocks!

Also, the OS that comes preinstalled seems just fine to me. It runs fast and smooth. I have not bothered to upgrade my OS as I see no reason to.
