Default Verification Error 1642 ar offset 0009

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,
I have developed an App using Netbeans 6.5 which is using LWUIT library for its UI design. When I run my App in Simulator or BlackBerry real device, I get the following error:

"Error starting TestLwuit: Module 'TestLwuit-9' has a verification error 1642 at offset 0009

I am absolutely clueless about this error. Any help on this would highly appreciated.

Thanks,
-jdk

You need to run the pre-verify tool on the LWUIT library, or just re-compile the source under the RIM RAPC compiler.

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I am very new to this stuffs, can you send me the steps to accomplish "re-compile the source under the RIM RAPC compiler"?

Thanks,

uhh...add the source files to your project (rather than the JAR) and "Build All", I guess.

Do you have the source?

Nope. Sun doesn't provide source code.. just the LWUIT.jar file.

Thanks,

Then you need to run the verifier tool on the JAR.

Look for preverify.exe in your JDE distribution.

one other issue: Are you using the RIM port of the root build?

From the LWUIT web site:

RIM BlackBerry Port by Thorsten Schemm - A native BlackBerry API port of LWUIT is available within the LWUIT incubator project source tree.
