Default Camera net.rim.device.api.system.controlledaccessexceptio n

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

I'm developing an application to get a image with the cam and i have found a error in the device (in the emulator is OK) with videoContr.getSnapshot() execution (in a Curve 8900 v 4.6.1). After this i have tested de camerademo sample and the error appears again:

net.rim.device.api.system.controlledaccessexceptio n

Any idea?

Thanks in advance,

Joterito

I suspect that you are trying to access an API that requires a signature. You can get the signatures from RIM for $20.

Or, the ApplicationPermissions are set to disallow access to user data on the device.

Any other idea?

Thanks in advance,

How to know if the files used to sign are out of date? I think i'm signing the application but maybe i'm doing anything wrong. The signaturetool show a message "signed", but i don't know if it's possible that my signing files are out of date and the signature tool show "signed" mesage.

Thanks

If you have a ControlledAccess then you have a permissions problem. Set everything to "ALLOW".

Are you catching the exception in your application? If so, what action is generating it?

Maybe you need to put your "enterEventDispatcher()" call in a try/catch block and catch a "Throwable". This forces a stack trace in the device event log. You can then access the event log and analyze the stack trace to see what is going on.
