I had changed my display picture on BBM, but it wasn't changing (other than that my phone was working fine) so I took out the battery and put it in to reboot it, but instead a red light just comes on for a bit, then the reboot screen comes up, but flashes off again in a second.

Please help because I have looked on other forums but I don't know what to do!

My blackberry curve 8520 did that before when i had it about 2 mouths after i bought it, I took it in and they told me they had to replace the battery because it was bad and never had that problem since then.

If you were downloading data or adding something and pulled the battery you may have corrupted the OS. I would take RitualJman suggestion on the battery before attempting anything with the OS. Also make sure it's seated correct and the contacts are clean.
