I've been having problems receiving emails on my bb. Sometimes I have no problems and other times it will take 15-30 minutes to receive after someone sends, sometimes I don't receive at all. The messages are coming to my gmail acct. with no problems, just not to my bb. I also started having delays when receiving msgs on google talk, no msgs for several minutes then like ten lines of txt all at once. I installed os 5.0.0.979 and haven't had as many problems with my email but now I don't receive pings when I'm logged in on gtalk. When someone tries to ping they have to email me then I have to sign out of gtalk and sign back in to start receiving msgs.

Is it something with my bb or something with google?

If you have not tried a battery pull it may be a good idea to try it first. Unless your in a bad area you might try to delete your Gmail account and reload it. Generally the delays in receiving email is due to carrier overload or your BB is not in an area that data can be used. I would check the bars on the display to see if coverage is the problem. If not then on to the account reload.
