Default Truncated Files

Please Login to Remove!

I want to add some PDF files to my Blackberry so I would have something to read when I am bored. I sent them through an email. The file was 18 MB and when I went to retrieve it< I was told "message truncated due to size".
I want to know if:
A) is there any way to receive truncated files that originally show up as too large?
B) how would I get PDF files onto my blackberry mem card if not through the email route?

I use the desk software to add videos and music from Itunes through the media synch function, is there anyway to do the same thing with PDF files?
Thanks for your time and knowledge.........

Enable mass storage mode in options, connect via USB, drag and drop the files to the media card.

You may have to get a reader. On email, BIS is displaying the pdf for you. Not same thing when opening a pdf on the device.

thanks, I got that mass storage thing figured out, but yes, it seems I am going to have to buy Beamreader for $10 to be able to read any of the Pdf files I loaded onto my memory card. seems like a "Smart Phone" with business applications in mind would have a native Pdf reader as part of the OS, Oh well, acrobat is free all over the net, I am guessing that android and Iphone both have a free Pdf reader. Maybe RIM will think about what the competition offers and do something about it, of course this will be too late for me, I can"t wait that long,...

a) Nothing is free. Someone is paying for it.

b) Adobe provides Acrobat free of charge, but Adobe customers in the end are paying for it.

c) Adobe for whatever reason does not provide an Acrobat for BlackBerry. Ask them why.

d) I wouldn't assume there's a free pdf reader for android and iphone. I don't know. Just wouldn't assume anything.

e) RIM does provide pdf support for email attachments, which you are paying for through BIS fees.

f) Every device and service is going to have it's upsides and downsides. All things considered, $10 for a pdf reader if it is that important to you seems like a bargain if the app is satisfactory. But that's just my opinion.
