I've been running into a serious issue with my phone lagging really bad. I've had on numerous occassions, the issue of bb_message...uncaught exception error and the phone requires a battery pull. I've tried deleting any recent apps to no luck. When I check the application management tab, my CPU is constantly at 75-100% with 80% being used by "OTHER". What runs in this "other" category, I can't seem to find that out. Thanks!

How much free memory do you have?

How many apps do you have installed?

How many apps are running in the background and how many of those are using data?

What did you do with the device just before this happened the first time?

Uncaught exceptions are generally very difficult to detect, and are usually caused by an incompatible theme or app, and/or corrupt files.

Free memory in the device info page is roughly 250mb, I have removed all the apps I haven't used in the past 2 months, now have around 10 apps installed. When I hold the bb button, there's 7 running, so not many. The issue usually happens when I get a new email in and I try to check it. It sometimes won't even open the messages inbox, sometimes it will open it then freeze, requiring a battery pull. I thought I may have figured it out after I deleted all purged emails (about 700), as it ran really well for about half a day, then back to the same old issues. I'm running the most recent att approved build. I'm trying to get away from having to completely blowing the thing apart and starting over.

BIS or BES?
Is it related to a specific email account or senders address?
Is it just e-mails with attachments or large e-mails?

You may need to wipe and reinstall if it seems to be on all e-mails regardless of size, account or attachment.

I'm on BIS, 3 personal email accounts through GMAIL. I can't seem to find a rhyme or reason for the hang ups, emails from coworkers, advertising emails, friends, it doesn't matter. I pulled it back to just the bare essentials, including removing Youmail (which I kind of have suspected having bugs for a while). So far today I haven't had any email issues, just one brief issue with some lag. I'm going to keep this setup and see where it goes. I may waste a couple of hours this weekend blowing it up.
