Default camera greenish look

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, I now have a greenish / out of focus look on the screen of my Curve. Most probably I dropped it a few times.

When I try to take a picture, i get a blank white screen. The picture then cannot be opened either on the phone or on a pc.

When I do a video, it records.

I tried to press the lens a few times but in vain. What works is when I try to squeeze the tel in one side and squeeze it in a certain other side, the screen appears ok and I am able to take a photo.

Otherwise without the squueze, I cannot take any photo nor video.

Could anybody help to tell me whether it is a hardware or software problem?

A little troubleshooting may help make the determination. Have you tried pulling the battery for about 30 seconds with the device powered on?

I've tried what you said, removed battery for 1 minute. In vain.

Also pressed on the lens (read from previous post). Still the same. Please help,

Based on what you have said about sqeezing it as a short term fix, I'm guessing that it is hardware. Something may have worked loose in the internal camera assembly. If you are confident in your abilities to take the device apart and troubleshoot, that may be an options. Otherwise, you may want to look at replacement, or if the other functions work OK and you can live with the camera as is, do nothing.
