Default Configuring enterprise activation?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey, I'm fairly certain I know the answer to this question but I wanted to make sure I'm not missing out on something.

Long story short, I recently started working off-site and am the BES admin. We have plenty of activations we do monthly and I used to do them wireless by hand, and now I'm having to walk the users through the activation on the phone.

I have several 'default' settings I change after activation including: theme, date/time, owner, security options, message settings, etc. and didn't know if there was a way to put those configurations into some part of the activation (whether wired or wireless)? Thanks in advance for your help!!

Theme - No.
Date/Time - No.
Owner - You can set this manually through BES manager, or via IT Policy.
Security Options - You should set this via IT Policy.
Message Settings - such as?

I would imagine most of what you want to do can be controlled through IT Policy.

IF doing OTA EA the add this to your BES to simplify activation questions.

You can mod it to include more info also.

Regarding the security options, I always allow users to change so they can 'make outgoing calls while locked'. You can set to be allowed in the policy but it won't turn it on.

Message settings = hide filed/sent messages and set delete on: blackberry/handheld.

I also used to hide some icons (pw keeper, messenger, etc.) as some users try to use it and end up just getting confused, so I hide it by default and if they are savy enough to un-hide it, they can probably figure out the programs without giving a support call...
