A couple of things about Sprint I've noticed:

1. When our of Sprint coverage, users roam onto Verizon's network (usually with data services) for free.

2. Sprint screws things up on your account with regularity, but they're great about fixing it. Their customer service is light-years ahead of where it was a year or two ago.

My biggest concern isn't technical - Sprint continues to lose customers and is still suffering from the Nextel debacle.

I still can't get my head around the whole Nextel catastrophe. $33 Billion, completely written off! Hey, after a while it adds up. $33 Billion here, a couple Billion there, and before you know it you're talking real money.

Sprint's long-term health is very much in question. Hemorrhaging customers at the rate Sprint has been doing it is a disaster in the making. They recently slowed the bleeding, but whether or not this is a trend or a blip in the data remains to be seen.

If Sprint goes Tango Uniform I will have to migrate me and the kids yet again. Should be fun ------ NOT! I've used all the Tier 1 carriers, but I've been away from Verizon the longest. Maybe I'll go back to them again.

Sprint has stemmed the bleeding by signing up pre-paid customers, which allows them to keep the customer count up (and churn down), but pre-paid generates significantly less revenue. A bad deal all around.
