Default Blackberry Software .214 Issues!!!!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All

OK so I have upgraded about a week ago, from .162 (O2 UK Version) to .214 BETA version.

First few hours went ok, memory was around 48-52MB.

THEN....next morning, woke up and that poxy 'timer' symbol pops up everytime I want to do something, whether it be scrolling the menu, using the browser etc...

Other problems I have noticed with .214 -

Feedback on speakerphone
WEB browsing on 3G very slow
Whilst browsing the WEB automatically shuts off and locks the handset

When are RIM going to provide a firmware that all of us are happy with, I have NEVER had a handset where I have had to or wanted to for improvements, to update more that once/twice a year!

Does anyone have the closest thing to a version that the majority of people are happy with?? (Is it .185/.190/.210??)

Help is much grateful!

Merry Christmas!!

I also had issues with .190 and .214 was horrendous. I went to .210 and it seems to be the best one so far and everything seems to work as designed even the picture thumbnails.

Wirelessly posted (Katerpillars on the air!)

I'm on .190 on Vodafone UK and its been great so far, none of the problems that some have experienced, won't upgrade until the next official RIM update

I have been using .214 for about a week now with now issues. Except for my pool game freezing but I think it is a problem with the game itself as I can go back to my homescreen and do other stuff no problem.

Default no problems with .214 for now

at least with limited useage, as I installed only yesterday night.

However, I have noticed that DM 4.7 is informing me about available updates (pretty much the whole list, starting with Core...) which is surprising as it did not show any while I was still at OS version .167?

Any queses? I'm afraid that it will try to downgrade me so I ignore the request so far.
Is there a way to find which version is recommended for upgrade via DM?

Didn't notice at first as I was changing themes soooo much, but yes my homescreen wallpaper changes too. A minor anoyance in the grand scheme of things. Good thing is you shouldn't have to perform a reset very often.

I have .210 and it works quite well. The only problem I have with .210 is that the Bluetooth connection with my headset often drops between calls, and I have to reestablish the BT. I didn't have that issue wit .190 and wonder if it's fixed with .214 or .216?
