Going to need a lot more info that that to help, like what applications don't work and what 2 options are you referring to within the e-mail setup?

Did you go to your BIS page, login and go to "change device" and change the device PIN no?

But, your BIS setup is with your carrier.
REgardless of WHERE you bought your second BB, you need to log in to BIS and change the device PIN no, so that BIS knows what phone to send information to.
Its like telling someone to write a letter to an address where you no longer live, yet expect the letter to still get to you.

Depending on what service your on. You need to go in, change your PIN/IMEI and resend your SERVICE BOOKS. That will kick your BIS to the new Berry.

i can understand what you say BUT,
when i first bought my Bold, was NOT registered nowhere and there wasnt inside the blackberry maps , neither the 2nd option for the mail setup.
After i send a SMS to my carrier (WIND), came back a reply informed me that i was now registered to the BIS and then appeared all the missing options and applications.
Now, that VODAFONE replaced my broken Bold, my number is still registered in WIND but not the phone!

So, vodafone replaced your phone, even though you aren't on their network.
your WIND sim card is in the phone, and presume is able to send txts and make calls?
This means that Vodafone UNLOCKED the device so you could use it with your carrier.
Either do what you did last time, and send this sms to you carrier which will again re-enable BIS and those programs; or go to the WIND carrier's BIS site and register for a new account using the new phone's PIN no. (as i assume you dont have a username or password for the BIS to use on the page).
Now, I have a feeling you are going to yet again say its impossible; but you are not understanding us.
REGARDLESS of where you got phone; if it is working on YOUR carrier, then you need to change the device PIN for BIS with YOUR carrier.
EXAMPLE: My bold could break and tomorrow I may go out and buy a new SIM FREE Bold for 400+. This means its not connected to a network and will use ANY sim CARD.
I will put my t-mob sim card in it, the one with my contract, data plan etc, and start using it.
I may be able to make calls and texts, but most features wont work. And that will be because I havent gone to the BIS page of my carrier, and changed my device.
Your Bold's PIN no and IMEI is registered with the network, via the BIS. If the carrier does not know the PIN or IMEI, they wont be able to send the relevant service books to the device, or allow certain applications to be used.
And if you dont believe/refuse to believe/or cant do the above; call your carrier and let them sort it out.

First of all, thanks for your patience. I tried before to do all those things you said. Tried to create a new account on my carrier's home page BUT, always appeared a message about a URL etc. Now, suddenly went all good and i was able to register my device. Thanks a lot again for your -aggresive- replies. ;)

see, if you had mentioned that you HAD tried those things, well, to be honest we'd have said contact your carrier about it.
But as long as you are up and running now! its allll that matters.
