I recently got a 9650 and am using it on Rogers (GSM/EDGE)

It now seems that every time I install an app that requires me to edit connections my data is less then stable at this point. IE i installed kik (texting from bb to iphones) accepted the settings and i find myself having to manage my connection / battery pull to get data back.

Is there any chance of getting apps that require you to edit the connections to your device that wont effect my data availability? or is it possible that this is an unrelated issue and just seems to happen when I installed this particular app?

it has happened with kik and with bigtincanbuzzme both I've uninstalled and i get my connection back right away. I know it sounds odd, because it doesn't make sense to me.

Its always possible that a certain app is interfering with performance in general. I am not so certain it would impact the connection itself.

Are those apps compatible with your specific device and OS? Doesn't sound like it.

I'm pretty sure they are all compatible with the device and the OS. I've been through them all and double checked and there doesn't seem to be any conflicts.
