No longer Meeting Organizer in Outlook meeting after Sync

Hi,
This happens most of the time:
1) I set up a meeting in Outlook and invite others. Often it is a recurring meeting. Since I set up the meeting, I am the Meeting Organizer, and if later I need to change the time of a meeting or cancel, I should have the ability to do that in Outlook.
2) I sync with my phone using the desktop manager (DM). The DM asks me some questions about some of my updates, most of which I just answer yes to because they don't seem important. If I remember correctly, Outlook does not include me as an attendee (because I'm the organizer) but the DM wants to make me an attendee on my phone.
3) Later, I go to Outlook to change something about a meeting. I find that I am still listed as the Meeting Organizer, but I no longer have the ability to change anything about the meeting time or to cancel the meeting!
Is there a fix for this problem, or at least a workaround? Having to be careful when syncing and reading about the changes gets old quickly, and I just have to forget once, and then there's meeting on my calendar and on others' calendars which can't be deleted!

I am experiencing the exact same issue with any and all reoccurring meetings that I had set up prior to the install of Desktop Manager 5.0.0.11. I hope that this proves to be a simple setting update somewhere.
My desktop environment matches Matt's, but I am using a Bold 9000.
