Hi,

I am running 4.1.4.12 BES and my MAGT log is full of the following:

"FolderManager::ScanFolders: slicing Joe Bloggs/OU/OU/O at folder 101"

I have read the technote on the Blackberry website which as per usual provides no inclings a to what the problem is - Ok yes, it does say that the Domino Server is over worked but what does Folder Level Message Slicing actually mean?

Any ideas please?

OTAFM slicing introduced somewhere in 4.1.3 I think. This "technology" was invented to "slice" up the chunks of OTAFM tasks so as not to overwork the BB SYNC service, which may cause a thread to be non-responsive and affect other processings e.g. message redirections. I'm not to worry about this log lines.

But again if your MAGT log is full of these log line, it may be a concern to you. That may also means that you should get your users to start housekeep their Notes mail database - not to keep large number of messages in the "redirected folders".
