Default shut down??

Please Login to Remove!

I have a 7520 and it has been abused a bit, dropped a number of times but it has always worked fine. bout a week or so ago it started to just shut down unexpectedly right in the middle of a call or just sitting there. it then takes about 15 or 20 minutes to reboot. when it reboots it goes thru the security checks and passes so everything seem fine all except for the ever annoying shutdown. the baterie is at full power and at minimal power when it happens.

Doesn't sound too healthy to me...
About the only thing I can suggest, with no real basis for it, is to back it up (twice if you are risk averse) wipe it out and reinstall the handheld OS operating system (and then restore your data).

OTA loaded apps will be lost, but you can re-download them.

Nothing much more to suggest - at least your honest and admitted you dropped it

One of the first things they check for on the devices is water damage. There are stickers inside the case that turn red when they come in contact with water. If it has, you will be charged for the full cost of the replacement device.

Now if you were refering to having your employer replace it, then that is a different story.

I am my employer and I asked the people at Nextel if the insurance i pay for would cover an accident if the phone fell in water would they replace it and they said yes, basically anything that could happen to it to ruin it they would replace it.
guess I need to look into the ins first then, thanks for the heads up
