i would know if someone tried to steal one of my appendages. i would feel the pain just as if they pulled off one of my arms. plus my bb would call out to me. i would then work them over with rights and lefts (maybe throw a kick or two in) to make an example out of them. after that i would post their bloody picture to this thread so people will know what happens when they mess with the berry.

seriously though, why would you wish for someone to break the law?

If you see me walking down the street, unless i'm using it (and probably walking into things) you won't know I have a blackberry. I prefer it that way.
I agree that people that use it as a fashion statement is outright stupid.. I carry my bb on my belt not to "show off", but out of sheer convenience. I KNOW I'm cool and all that, I don't need to advertise it..

Maybe its me, but I wouldn't call myself an addict.. The blackberry is a tool that I use to get my time back. Maybe the fact that the organization I work for has thousands of blackberrys, it's never come across as a status symbol.

blackberries are just, well blackberries.. Can any regular person distinguish a bb from a treo?

Wirelessly posted (RIM Blackberry 8700g: BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

I switch between the OEM holster and the vertical Leather T-Mobile holster. I choose based on what I'm wearing, if I'm in slacks or nice dress clothes then I use the leather one. If I am in my normal street clothes then I use my OEM holster.

I usually have my phone in the oem holster in my shirt pocket of my scrubs around the house (the scrubs usually double as pj's), otherwise it's clipped to my belt in the leather holster when I'm out of the house.

Scrubs are wonderful. Between my sister and I we have about 4 pairs. Gotta love thrift stores. But yes, men's pajama pants are so comfortable. I am actually wearing "barrel of monkeys" right now Same as men's button up dress shirts. I have my first loves (ex) still and wear it from time to time.

That is how I wear my BB But I have a hot pink naztech in the mail so it will be awesome having that.

Eh, I have way too much crap in my pockets for my BB to be safe there. I guess that makes me one of the clueless who wears it clipped to my belt, but I've never been that smart about projecting the "proper" image

In the vein of "preparedness." I have for years now carried a rather conspicuous folding knife (liner lock) on my belt. It's leftover from an earlier job that I had when there was always something that needed cutting . It does make for some interesting looks and comments when I go to meetings these days.

My aluminum foil hat melted when it was struck by a martian death ray. Phooey.

I prefer to either keep my blackberry in my go-bag if I'm carrying it, or in my pocket if I'm not. As a fat guy, hanging stuff like cellphones, blackberries, etc is not comfortable, and I'm always afraid that the thing will fall off my belt. I'm also afraid that hanging it off my belt will somehow cause the screen to get smashed.

I've never thought that wearing it on my belt made some sort of statement -- I just dislike bulging pockets in my khakis... During the summer I'm not at work so it's usually in the left front pocket of my cargo shorts.

If I'm hiking in the mountains, unlike some goobers, I leave my phone in the truck at the trailhead. Nothing ruins a good hike more than coming around the corner and seeing some yahoo yacking on his cellphone at 11,000 feet trying to lean off the edge of the trail to pick up a signal... "No, Mom, I'm on the trail..."

At work I wear it on my belt right behind my Taser.

At home on my off time it's either in my cargo pocket of my shorts or on the arm of my recliner. It sits on the nightstand at night and charges while I sleep.

In the truck, it goes in the cup holder.

When I am wearing a belt, the Blackberry Rugged Holster, when we are belt free, the Plastic Swivel Holster. If you live an active work life, the Rugged Holster has proven that it is up to the job!

Just got the 8800 so no case other than Cingular's. Had a Vaja leather case for my 8700c which I could toss in my handbag, briefcase, coat pocket - whatever works for the moment.

For me, it depends on what I'm wearing and where I'm at. In winter I wrap my 8100 in the silicone skin and toss it into the inside jacket pocket. In summer I put it in the swivel holster and clip it on my belt. If I wear jeans in summer, I clip it to the right front pocket, next to the holder for my BB bluetooth headset.
